Principles of  the Arizona Republican Assembly

We Believe:

· The Constitution provides the structure for our federal government agency, listing the specific and limited powers granted to government by the people.

- The Bill of Rights defines specific restrictions on federal government power over expressed rights of the people, while retaining all other rights to the states, or to the people.

· The Purpose of Government is to protect the unalienable Rights granted by the Creator; including, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

- These include, Right to Life, and Right to private property.

· Individual Liberty, responsibility, and accountability create the greatest good for the betterment of all people.

- Individuals are responsible for the health, welfare and education of themselves and their families without aid, interference, or burden from the federal government.

- Individuals are ultimately responsible for the self-defense of themselves and their families; as such, the 2nd Amendment insures that the federal government shall not infringe on the right of the individual to bear arms.

- Government that governs least governs best.

· The Primary Responsibility of Federal Government is to set Foreign Policy to protect our vital National interests and provide for the defense of the United States and its borders.

· Government is ordained of God in the affairs of man.

- In our Republican form of government, both the elected and the electorate are responsible to God for their proper governance.

- Elected officials who take an oath of office to uphold the Constitution, and do not, should be disqualified from office.

· Families are the basic unit of government and are Fundamental to Liberty.

-The function of the family is to raise the next generation in God's Biblical values and the enduring truths of liberty.

- Parents are the most important teachers of their children.

- The purpose of education is to develop the skills to maintain liberty; including ability to read, write, calculate and analyze.

- Education must stress traditional values and enduring truths.
