Not a Nation Ruled by God???

In the Inaugural Speeches of our founding Presidents, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, etc., ALL pointed out that this nation was established under the rules of God and acknowledged God as our creator.

Examples include, in the words our First President, George Washington [emphasis added]:

“… it would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being, who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect …”

“… we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained

Then Washington summed up with, “… I shall take my present leave …resorting once more to the benign Parent of the Human Race …that, since He has been pleased to favor the American people with opportunities …and dispositions for …deciding on a form of government for the security …and advancement of their happiness, so His divine blessing may be equally conspicuous in the enlarged views, the temperate consultations, and the wise measures on which the success of this government must depend.”

What we see in Washington’s speech is a reference to rule under The Ten Commandments, and a belief in Creation!!

Our Second President, John Adams, summed up his Inaugural words with:

“And may that Being who is supreme over all, the Patron of Order, the Fountain of Justice, and the Protector in all ages of the world of virtuous liberty, continue His Blessing upon this nation and its government and give it all possible success and duration consistent with the ends of His providence.”

Here we see in Adam’s words an acknowledgement of God’s Blessings to this nation, and an implied warning that these Blessing would only continue as long as the nation was operating “consistent with the ends of His providence.”

Then there were the Inaugural words of President Thomas Jefferson:

“… I shall needthe favor of that Being in whose hands we are, who led our fathers… from their native land and planted them in a country flowing with all the necessaries and comforts of life; who has covered our infancy with His providence and our riper years with His wisdom and power, and to whose goodness I ask you to join in supplications with me that He will so enlighten the minds of your servants, guide their councils, and prosper their measures that whatsoever they do shall result in your good, and shall secure to you the peace, friendship, and approbation of all nations.”

Here we see in Jefferson’s speech an acknowledgement of the guidance of God to his followers leading to the promised land of America and in the establishment of a nation under His rules that was therefore prospering in freedom and peace with the world.

But today we see a corruption in original intent, as those working to destroy a belief in God, demand and achieve the elimination of God in classroom teaching (requiring downplaying the role of our founders and the history of our country); achieve the removal of “The Ten Commandments” from our public places and especially our halls of justice; demand removal of God from the pledge of allegiance to our Republic; and work to remove “In God We Trust” from our currency.

Is it any wonder that we have sunk into the muck of immorally and that our nation is losing the Blessings of the Almighty with resulting loss of economic sovereignty (plants and jobs leaving the country); destruction of our culture through alien invasion; serial wars; and yes, the slow, but accelerating loss of our Constitution and freedom??
